OUR STORY
Two NYC-Trained Chefs.
One Hartford Home.
The Foundation of Salt & Pepper
The Salt & Pepper partnership was forged long before we hit the road. We both built our foundations in New York City, training at the country’s top culinary institutes and learning the relentless discipline required to succeed in the nation’s most competitive kitchens.
While Sean Farrell was mastering coastal techniques in San Francisco, Power Minor was beginning his career at the iconic Pearl Oyster Bar before establishing himself as a vital force in the Greater Hartford landscape.
We finally crossed paths at Firebox, where Power served as Chef de Cuisine and Sean brought his West Coast expertise. Our shared NYC background and mutual passion for quality helped us turn the restaurant into a local landmark.
We eventually decided to take that “big city” discipline and apply it to a more mobile, approachable concept. We started with the Salt & Pepper Food Truck to bring chef-driven food to the streets, and that same energy now fuels our expanded catering program.
